About Us:

At 54 North, our mission is to equip UK seafarers with the skills, knowledge, and confidence required to navigate the waters surrounding the United Kingdom safely and responsibly.

We provide maritime apprenticeships and training to students in the Workboat and Fishing industries. Our courses are accredited by the Seafish Industry Authority, Maritime & Coastguard Agency and the Royal Yachting Association.

With a strong commitment to growth, innovation and teamwork, we’re seeking a talented professional to streamline our operations and drive success.

What You’ll Do:

As our Operations Manager, you will:

  • Oversee and enhance daily operations to ensure efficiency and productivity.
  • Lead and mentor a high-performing office team.
  • Optimise processes and resource management to achieve cost savings.
  • Maintain quality control and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with the Board of Directors to align operational goals with company objectives.
  • Analyse performance data to guide strategic decisions.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience in business management, ideally in a similar industry.
  • Strong leadership and organisational skills with a focus on driving results.
  • Expertise in process improvement, resource allocation, and team management.
  • Knowledge of business management software, IT tools and digital marketing experience is a plus.
  • Exceptional communication skills and a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
  • Experience of non-profit organisations, accreditation bodies and associated audits is preferred but not essential.
